E. Frits Abell has over 15 years of experience in marketing, corporate development and operations for start-up to mid staged ventures, for which he has managed all aspects of new business formation. Mr. Abell has a deep contact base that ranges from financial and strategic investors to early stage ventures to strategic acquirers..

Prior to Northside Advisors, Mr. Abell served as Managing Director of Progress Partners, a boutique media and technology-focused investment bank. At Progress, Mr. Abell managed operations, including PR, marketing and new business initiatives, and developed transaction processes and infrastructure for the New York and Boston offices.

Before Progress Partners, Frits helped launch Longbank Corporate Restructuring Inc., a corporate restructuring firm, co-founded and served as Managing Director for Velocity Holdings, a strategic consultancy and acted as President/COO of GFN Financial, a niche financial services firm.

Sample transactions with which Mr. Abell has been involved include the sale of Didiom to Exlclaim Mobility,  RockCoastMedia to Alloy Marketing (NASDAQ:ALOY), CMWare to Live Cargo, and equity capital fundraises for Worktopia, AdsafeMedia, Tremor Media, OneSky Jets, MediaMath, AdSafe and Media6°.

Frits has served on the Board of Directors for GFN Financial and Progress Partners, and was the founder of the Skidmore Business Network (SBN) and the Buffalo Expat Network (BEN). Frits received a B.A. in economics from Skidmore College.
